Save Your Publisher File to W Drive  
  After Each Work Session Save As a Publisher File on the W Drive
File -> Save As

Brings up the screen below. Fill out as shown in picture:

Save Your Work As a Publisher File

Publisher File is Changed, Not Web Pages
Publisher cannot edit your web pages, only your Publisher (.pub) project file.

You will always be making changes to your .pub file, re-saving it as a .pub file then saving it again as a web site.
