| Make Parents Computer Administrators | ||||
|
Microsoft XP Microsoft XP allows mulitple users to login to the computer with different levels of authority. The highest level of authority is the Administrator. The Administrator can make system changes, install programs and create sub-accounts for other users with less authority. In many cases the child is the computer Administrator making all decisions on how the system can be used. For obvious safety reasons an adult should always be the system Administrator and the child should use a sub-account. Users with lower-levels of authority will be prohibited from installing software. Software installations are one of the major vehicles for viruses, worms, spyware, and pop-up adds to infest your computer. Become the XP Administrator We made multiple versions of the instructions so that whatever your software set-up is you will find at least one version you can access: User Accounts (web version) User Accounts (Microsoft PowerPoint older version) User Accounts (Microsoft PowerPoint 2002) BACK TO MAIN >> |
