*Club Lion will be tomorrow so be sure to bring your student ID to school to be released from class early.

 

 

*Tuesday, the 7th grade boy’s basketball team walked away with another win against Winters Jr. High School with a score of 73 to 12. Some of the top scorers in the game were Carson Timothy 16 points, Ryan Bryson 13 points, Mario Arizaga 7 points, Mathew Nunez 6 points, Sam Cooper-Stern 5 points, Diego Estrella, Jack Carner, and Russel Hanson had 4 points each. Pierce Gudino, and Hayden Newsom were key to our win with a number of assists. On the defensive side some of our standout players were, Evan Perez, and Nico Rodriguez. Great Job!

 

 

*Congratulations to the winners of the First Friday Artwalk Competition.

1st Place – Genesis DeLeon

Thanks to all students who participated and congratulations on producing some very impressive drawings. The voting was very close.

*Club Lion:  if you earned 2.5 GPA or better on this progress report please get your Club Lion sticker on your student ID at lunch on Tuesday or Wednesday.  Club Lion will be on Friday so be sure to get your sticker on time and bring your student ID to school to be released from class early.

 

 

*The student store will be open tomorrow, Wednesday, during both lunches.  Please stop by with you Lion Code Tickets!

 

 

*Attention all boys interested in playing soccer for the Douglass Middle School team. There will be a meeting in Mr. Minor's room, D-4 immediately after school on Wednesday. Be on time. It will be about 15 minutes long.

 

 

*Congratulations to Melissa Romero. Her poster “Celebrate Future Peace” won the Lions’ Club Peace Poster Contest. Melissa will receive a $25 check and his poster will represent Douglass in the regional competition.

 

 

* Hey Douglass Art Lovers, stop by the library and see the drawings that received votes in the Downtown Woodland First Friday Art Walk. Awards for the top three artworks will be announced later this week.

 

 

*To all Music students, Please go to the music building to pick up your fundraiser orders after school.

 

 

*Students make sure to remind your parents that today is Tasty Tuesday at Pizza Guys from 12-9pm,  20% of all proceeds will go to Douglass PTA.

Some of the top scorers in the game were Diego Estrella 11 points, Evan Perez had 8 points, and Carson Timothy, Nico Rodriguez, had 4 points each. Mathew Nunez, and Hayden Newsom were key to our win with a number of assists. On the defensive side some of our standout players were Ryan Bryson, Sam Cooper-Stearn, and Carson King.
